MyPoints

Here is a great program that I have been a member since March 2007. It's called MyPoints. It is a free rewards program. Earn points for shopping, searching the web, reading email, signing up for a product or service, taking surveys, etc. Once you have accumulated enough points you can then redeem those points for various gift cards or online gift certificates. This is a very easy program. Even if all you wanted to do was to read email and not sign up for anything you will see that the points can add up fast. They send you maybe 1-5 emails a day. For just clicking on a link provided in an email you usually receive 5 points. You may not want to use your main email address but that is up to you. You can always change your email address at any time. I also suggest that to accumulate points faster, select many interests when filling out your profile. This way you will receive more emails to click on regardless if you are truly interested but still uping your point balance. Plus you never know, it may interest you after reading about it. I mainly just click on the links in the emails. I have signed up for a few things. I also have received points for shopping on Sephora through the MyPoints link. I'm not buying anything I wouldn't normally buy but I am now getting points for doing so. I have redeemed my points for gift cards and I received them quickly!

Site Info:
You must be at least 18 yrs old
You must live in US or Canada

1 membership per person

1 account per email address

Referrals- Allowed up to 5 successful referrals per month. MyPoints recognizes your referral as a successful referral once they hit the 125 point mark.

If you are interested in signing up please click the following link to email me so I can send you an invitation or you may click the image. Email with the address you would like to sign up with. Please put "MyPoints Invite" in the subject line. Thanks! Email Here

Deal Barbie Pays Payment Terms Update from email:

Unfortunately, I am going to move payments back to Net 35. I really don't want to however, I have been hit by a mass of fraud since I made the change back to Net 20. As alot of the hit & run fraudsters know that owners donot receive their reversal reports until the 30th of every month. While I hate to do this, it's something I need to do to make sure I can continue to offer all of the offers I currently have & more. This change will start with all withdrawal requests made in July.

Also it seems that Treasure Cities has been the latest to be added to the suspended list. I have no info on this though.

UPDATE: SITES CLOSED OR SUSPENDED & REVOLUTION OFFERS & BOWLING FOR CASH INFO

Just wanted to update you on a few changes. The following sites have closed or are suspended:

Raining Riches- closed

Mermaids Sand Dollars- closed

My Doggie Dollars- suspended

Although I am not a member of the next 2 sites, I have heard that the owner will be selling Mailbox-Dollars and Race4Dollars. For now it sounds as if they will be focusing their efforts on Revolution Offers. On Revolution Offers they are lowering their minimum weekly payout to 25 cents, removing the payout by gift card option, and adding E-gold and AlertPay as payment options.

Bowling For Cash has changed their referral levels. Instead of having the 3 referral levels paying 10%, 5%, and 2%, the 3rd level has been removed and the first level has been increased to 15%! So now they have 2 referral levels – 15% and 5%.

I Guess It Was Just A Matter Of Time

before I got burned by a gpt site. By now those that worked Mora sites (MoraChat, MoraTraffic, MoraSurfing, MoraFreebies, MyMovieCash, MyMusicCash) should know that they are all gone or sold to someone else. I have been debating whether or not to post about this but I thought it might make me feel better. The admin on those sites, Bryan, has had medical issues since he was 18. He has been in and out of the hospital several times. Well recently he got sick and went back into the hospital. Only this time we quit getting updates on his condition and were left in the dark. Sites went offline, his wife would no longer answer our questions, etc. Many we're only concerned about Bryan's condition and worried little about the money owed to them. I too initially did not worry about the money I was owed on MoraTraffic. I was only a member of this site. I did not normally make a lot of money on that site because I chose not to do trials and such.

As time went people started digging more into this disappearance. Through investigation it was discovered that he was auctioning off his sites and one new owner stepped forward letting those members know. We later found out that Bryan needed to sell his sites to pay for hospital expenses. Many feel betrayed and ripped off. He had loyal members who if asked would have offered back their earnings to support him because they felt he was a friend. But sadly that is not the route he chose to take. So here sits the overwhelming feeling of betrayal. Furthermore this kind of thing affects your trust. You start to question your trust of people and their sites. This is unfortunate as the gpt industry does not need anymore negativity. I've already heard someone I look up to in the gpt world talking about walking away from it. She was hurt that much from this situation. I am not ready to do that. I like the money that comes in and I will continue my gpt journey. As with anything, you must be careful and protect yourself as much as possible. I don't think there was anything that could have been done in this situation. We were truly blind sighted. Also, when I took a look at what was owed to me I was upset to realize that I was owed a lot more than I thought. I had won a $25 raffle on that site., but had never received that money or my regular earnings. I was so happy and surprised to win! I tend to not be very lucky in that area. Apparently, I am still not all that lucky.

The 2 new owners that I am aware of have both said that they would try and pay what was owed to members that remain. Unfortunately, these owners did not buy MoraTraffic and that site is no longer a gpt, only a parking page now. :(
I think this one must bother me so much because it is my first burn, kinda like your first break up. Oh well, you live and learn.

Happy earnings people! Just be careful and be smart!

Just As I Thought!

The gpt admins are taking a serious look at Revolution Money Exchange as a payment option! Mermaids Sand Dollars has already added it to the site and I know that Linda at Bowling For Cash has been considering it as well. I can't see how it would hurt to have any extra option. If the site works as quickly as they did with adding my $25 sign up bonus it's gonna be good! So if I were you I would hurry up and sign up for Revolution while they have the $25 promotion going on!

A New Way To Send/Receive Money Online

Finally PayPal has some competition! It's called Revolution Money Exchange! It's currently in Beta form. Revolution Money Exchange is the new way to send and receive money online between Money Exchange account holders. It’s a great way to exchange money with friends, colleagues, or online sellers. Share restaurant, travel, or household expenses. It’s easy, secure and, best of all, it’s FREE to register and FREE to send and receive money between Money Exchange account holders. I know that some of the gpt sites are seriously considering adding Revolution Money Exchange as a payout option.
You'll want to get in on this one now because if you sign up before February 29th you'll immediately get $25 deposited into your Revolution Money Exchange account! Who doesn't love free money?!! I have done this and received my money without any problems!

If you are interested in signing up for this service, shoot me an email at
chosenwoo@yahoo.com.
I will then send you an invite. Please note that you should email me with the email that you would use to sign up for this service for the process to proceed smoothly.

Still not sure?
Here's more info:

  • FREE to register for an account

  • FREE to add money from your bank account

  • FREE to send money

  • FREE to receive money

  • FREE to request money

  • FREE to electronically transfer money to your bank account

  • A transaction fee applies for check withdrawals ($2.50 per check), check stop payments ($20 per check), paper statements ($5 per statement), ACH returns ($35 per returned ACH), and overdrafts ($35 per overdraft).

  • Must be at least 18 (some states require you to be 19)

  • Must be from the US

MoneyExchange does not charge you any fees for electronically adding money to your account or electronically transferring money to your linked bank account. You should check with your bank to determine whether they will charge you any fees for adding or withdrawing money from your MoneyExchange account.

How about security?

Our number one priority at Revolution Money is to maintain a high level of security, as we know protecting your financial information is a primary concern when registering with our service.

You might wonder why we ask for certain pieces of information that you may be nervous to share, such as your Social Security Number. We would not ask for any information that was not necessary to enable the security we promise to you. Also, to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

With identity theft on the rise, we use your Social Security Number to confirm your identity by cross referencing it against other personal data you provide. This way, if someone were to get a hold of your Social Security Number, a Money Exchange account could not be set up in your name without knowing your other personal information. So, sometimes it may seem as if you have to share more information about yourself, but in the end it actually protects your financial information to an even greater degree.

Finally, we have set limits on adding, sending, and receiving, money to or from your account to help guard against fraud. It’s not that we’re trying to control your spending behavior. We came up with the idea of Money Exchange because we wanted to make it easier for you to exchange money with others, not to impose limits. But we also have to be concerned about fraud, so we have set up limits on how much money can move between accounts each day to limit the risk that there is any fraudulent behavior. Again, protecting your money is our utmost priority.

RevolutionMoney takes the security of your transactions very seriously. We use advanced security technology to help guard against unauthorized access to your accountholder data. All MoneyExchange transaction information is transmitted with a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection via the Internet. SSL is a protocol for transmitting sensitive information over the Internet using an asymmetric cryptographic system that uses two keys – a public key that is used to encrypt the data and a private key known only to the recipient to read the encrypted message. SSL encrypts your personal information before it leaves your computer, ensuring no one else can read it.

In addition, we provide protection against unauthorized use of your account by requesting a personal identification number (PIN) before authorizing any transfer of money, thus ensuring an extra layer of security. We use the PIN to generate a 128 bit key that is used to encrypt the message with state of the art encryption algorithm. Once the message is encrypted, your PIN is no longer necessary and thus not stored or transmitted. And on top of that, the whole process is secured via a multi-factor authentication process.

I hope to hear from you soon! :)

RAINING RICHES UPDATE

As of 1/17/08 you can no longer be paid twice a month at Raining Riches. Once again fraud has affected the gpt industry. Here is the email I received in regards to this :

Subject
Change in payout schedule-- Please read
Date
1/17/2008 1:26 PM
Message

Hi everyone! I'm writing to let you know that our payout schedule is going to be changing. As you all know there is an ever-increasing problem with fraud in the GPT industry, and as a site administrator I regularly monitor all activity on the site. Unfortunately, some of the advertising networks view bi-monthly payouts as a feature that attracts fraud. Because of this, I have decided to change the payouts to once a month in order to maintain good relationships with the advertisers so that we can continue to enjoy the fun that we are having here on RainingRiches.com!
You will find that payments will still be processed in a timely manner --the only difference is that payments will only be sent 1x a month instead of 2x a month. All withdraw requests will need to be submitted by the last day of the month, and payments will be on a Net10 basis-- For example, if you withdraw your funds by January 31st, your payment will be sent no later than February 10th. Although payouts will be sent less often, I am confident that you will find that this payment schedule faster than the GPT industry standard.
In addition, you will find that this change in payout schedule will enable
RainingRiches.com to provide you more offers because of new advertising networks that will now be willing to run their campaigns on our site. (New offers equals more money in your pocket!) I have already added quite a few new offers for you and lots more will be added over the next week. Check back often to see all of the fun things that are soon to come here on RainingRiches.com!
Please note that this change will go into effect on February 1st-- I have already processed the January 15th withdraws and they will be going out in the mail this afternoon, so February will be the first month without a mid-month payout.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at anytime! I can be reached by the inbox system, the support ticket system, or by sending me an email at RainingRiches@gmail.com. I am looking forward to sharing a productive 2008 with you… let the Riches Rain on YOU!!!
Becki :)

GPT TIPS ON GETTING STARTED

Ok so you have decided to take a stab at trying the world of GPT. Where do you start? The best thing you can do is prepare before jumping in head first.

  • Sign up for some new email addresses that will only be used for gpts. You will need a separate email address for signing up with sites in order to get special emails and to get emails notifying you when an offer was approved or declined. Email addresses will need to be rotated to get offers to approve. You don't want to sign up 7 offers from the same advertiser with the same email. They are paying to get leads and will not be happy to get the same lead over and over. I suggest at least 3 emails to start. To be honest I have a ton though! When you start doing these sites you will get a lot of junk mail and you do not want to have your personal email flooded with junk! You can get these at Yahoo, hotmail, netzero, gmail, etc. I primarily use gmail because there is no limit to how many you can have. Also, gmail has a little trick to it: one e-mail address can turn into many. For instance: mygptemail@gmail.com can turn into: m.ygptemail@gmail.com, my.gptemail@gmail.com, myg.ptemail@gmail.com, mygp.temail@gmail.com, etc. They all go to the same inbox, but are recognized as multiple e-mail addresses by GPT companies. Gmail also has a filter system that I hear can make multiple email addresses easier. Some advertisers have caught on to the dot trick so if you are noticing that a certain advertiser is no longer crediting, try a regular "no dot" email address.

  • Sign up for a private phone number. Unless you like getting all sorts of telemarketer calls then you will want to do this next step. I won't lie to you, it is getting harder to find a free service to protect you from unwanted phone spam. I just signed up for GrandCentral.com. GrandCentral is a new web app that lets you consolidate all of your phone numbers into one number, meaning someone can call you on your GrandCentral phone number and all of your phones (cell phone, work phone, home phone) or whichever phone(s) you choose will ring. If you do not pick up it will be forwarded to voicemail that you would retrieve from the site. So you are not giving out your actual home phone number. There is also a feature called "Quick Rule" which allows you to put your number on do not disturb which sends all calls that were placed with your GrandCentral number directly to your voicemail! Be sure to set up a personal voicemail message so it sounds like a regular phoneline. Otherwise it stats that you are a GrandCentral member. There are other phone services you can try but they will probably have a fee attached to them. Keep in mind that when getting an alternative phone number, advertisers will look at the area the phone number is associated. So it is important for you to have a local number. Not all services allow you to choose your area code.

  • Create a Spreadsheet to track offers. Ok it doesn't have to be a spreadsheet but you will need something whether it be a notebook or Word document. If you have Microsoft Office, you can use Excel for your spreadsheets. If you have a Google account you can go to http://docs.google.com/ and create one online. You can also go to http://www.openoffice.org/ and download their office software. Why? Well when you are starting out your intent may not be to do more than one gpt site but once you get in, it can be addicting! Before you know it, you will have 5 and will not be sure what offers you have completed! And in the gpt world, that is a big no-no. You can be banned and considered fraudulent for completing offers more than once if you have been credited for them. If you are not sure if you have done the offer already, then don't! Better to be safe then sorry! Here is an example of a spreadsheet:

  • Download CCleaner This little tool is very helpful! Cookies are how the advertising companies track if you completed an offer. When you click on the link from whatever GPT you are using, it has your account number embedded into the link. When the offer completes the advertiser's website places a "Cookie" on your computer, then notifies the GPT site that you completed the offer. Clearing your cookies in between completing offers is a must to get them to approve. This tool saves you a lot of time instead of having to do it manually. Keep in mind that when you clear your cookies it will usually clear your log-in cookie as well, which will log you out of the GPT website that you are working. To prevent this from happening open ccleaner, click “Options” then “Cookies.” The box on the right is your “Safe Box.” Click on the GPT site url in the box on the left and add it to your safe box on the right. This will prevent you from being logged out every time you clear your cookies. * NEVER delete cookies while you are in the middle of filling out an offer because it will cease to track your progress.

  • Download Roboform. Roboform is a Password Manager and Web Form Filler that completely automates password entering and form filling. There is a free version and a Pro version. I use this to store my gpt passwords and my standard info that I need to fill out surveys. I never put in my social security number as I do not do any offers that require that. The free version only allows you to store so many passwords but it is good to start with. I have already hit my max and have been contemplating buying the Pro version. Here is an added bonus to using Roboform- when filling out surveys where you have to click “no” a thousand times, just click no on the first option and then press the left hand alt button and = at the same time. It will fill in the rest of the fields with the same answer (”no”) that you put in the first button. *Please note that surveys may be on a timer and if you complete too fast you might not get credit. I will fill out a page and watch tv or walk away or something.

  • Get a PayPal account! This free service allows anyone to pay in any way they prefer, including through credit cards, bank accounts, buyer credit or account balances, without sharing financial information. Again you don't HAVE to do this but many gpt sites offer payment through them and it is quicker than waiting for a check. Some sites ONLY pay through PayPal. Your PayPal account must be verified. In order to do that you will need to link your PayPal account to your checking account.

  • Read the terms of service (TOS)for the site you are considering joining! This will tell you the site requirements and what actions they consider to be fraudulent. I have tried to give a brief description of the sites I belong to, but they can change the TOS at any time. Protect yourself! You don't want to be labeled a fraudulent member and get banned!

GPT FAQS

What is a GPT?

"GPT" means "get paid to"......

A get paid to site is a website that pays you with some sort of incentive for you to complete something. There are many different types of sites: pts, ptr, ptc etc. Advertisers pay them to provide leads and attract interested parties and potential customers to their products and services. They spend billions of dollars a year on this! GPT's (get paid to) are a way to bring you to the advertisers and in return, help you earn free cash, gift cards or other prizes!

What Does It Cost To Join?

All legit GPT sites have free membership! Do not join any GPT site that is requiring a fee! This includes regular survey sites!

What Do I Have To Do?

As I have said before, there are many different types of GPT's. Find a type that you are comfortable working. You will see a lot of abbreviations along your journey in the GPT world. I will try to help you with them as I was very lost in the beginning. Please note that just with anything, people start to make up their own abbreviations. But you get used to it. Here are some descriptions:

Get Paid to Sign Up (PTSU)
Get Paid to Sign Up sites are also referred to as Do-it-Yourself or DIY sites. These sites pay you to sign up for offers. When I refer to offers I mean signing up to try new products, surveys, other sites or free trials. You will also earn by referring your friends and family to sign up using your referral link. This is called building your downline. Now don't get scared with that term. You are not required to build your downline by any means. You do make more money that way but nobody is gonna force you to do it. Also when you get referrals, the commission you make from their progress is extra. No money is taken from them. It's just a bonus!

Get Paid to Take Surveys
Get Paid to Take Survey sites send their members email notifications when their is a survey available for them to take. There is a link within the email to take the surveys and are then rewarded for their participation. Rewards usually include cash or points which can be redeemed for gift cards, cash and/or merchadise. Generally the longer the survey, the more it is worth. I tend to be leary of these because as with anything there are scammers. I generally research a company through my peers before signing up.

Get Paid to Post
Get Paid to Post sites are forums which will pay you to be an active member. They reward you for starting conversation threads, replying to member's posts and referring others to do the same. In order to get credit for a post it will usually have to be of some substance. Single word posts won't get you too far.

Get Paid to Read Emails (GPTR)
Get Paid to Read sites will send emails to your inbox for you to read. These emails are from various advertisers that want to get your attention. There is a link within each email which you click to earn points and/or cash. It is not necessary for you to sign up with any of the ads to receive credit but if you do then you usually receive more points for doing so. Points are usually redeemed for gift cards. If you choose to do this type then I suggest setting up a seperate email address just for this purpose. It is easier to do this so you can stay organized. Some of these sites offer you the option of storing these emails on your profile page instead of sending them off to your personal email.

Get Paid to Play
Get Paid to Play sites offer online games which you can play to win points and/or cash. Points can be traded in for gift cards and other prizes. At the time of this post I do not have any on hands info on this. I have not yet joined one yet, but I have been thinking about it. :)

Get Paid to Surf/Search (PTS aka GPTS)
You will be rewarded for searching or surfing the internet as you normally would. Points, cash and other prizes are offered. Some sites have a monthly jackpot that you earn entries into by doing your searches.
